THE PERFORMANCE ACCELERATOR SERIES

Teri is the author and publisher of the popular "Tangle Tamers" series of books and tapes, which focus on effective steno-writing practice. She is the author and presenter of several popular continuing education seminars delivered at MacCormac College for NCRA and several state professional associations.

In 2001, Teri received the Illinois Shorthand Reporter Associations’ Outstanding Educator award. She is a tireless advocate for the effectiveness of realtime training for reporters. She served for seven years as a chief examiner for NCRA and has been an off-site grader of the RPR and RMR exams for five years.

Teri hails originally from Canada where she studied at the University of Manitoba. She trained in court reporting at Southern California College of Court Reporting in the Los Angeles area, where she also steno-interpreted for the hearing impaired. Or, as she puts it, "in the days when we were ‘cart’ reporters. I literally followed deaf students to class, pushing my desktop computer on a cart. It was the early days of CART then!" She now lives in the Chicago area and also serves as a Stenograph education consultant and Phoenix Theory online teacher training specialist.
