Additional Course Requirements

Your evaluation tests must be written using your choice of translation software and computerized stenographic writing machine. Windows-based systems should work well. Those who use DOS-based systems may have to follow additional procedures to record practice time. If this is your situation, send an e-mail with a description of the realtime CAT (computer assisted translation) software or captioner’s software and the stenographic writing machine brand and model you plan to use to:

You should receive a response shortly. Please do not purchase courses before you are certain your software and hardware will allow you to complete the evaluations.

Optional Software

If you would like to practice the materials in Captioning III at a lower or higher speed than those at which they were recorded, please contact Stenograph Education Sales at education@stenograph.com about purchasing an Enounce™ variable speed software player license for this purpose. The Enounce variable speed software player is not included in the course price.
