From Court Reporter to Captioner is a three-part course sequence designed to provide graduate machine stenowriters the knowledge, dictionary entries, dictionary management, writing modifications and other specialized skills they need to perform as broadcast closed captioners. To gain the most from these courses, users should be able to demonstrate realtime shorthand writing performance of 225 words per minute or higher with 95% or greater accuracy prior to entering the courses.

Each course has been approved by NCRA for .25 CEUs. To apply for CEUs, users should download the CEU application found within the course and submit it with the appropriate CEU application fee and proof of satisfactory completion directly to NCRA at the address provided on the application form. You are permitted to download one application per access period. Downloading additional applications may result in your credit card being charged one additional course fee for each additional application you download.
